Privacy policy

Homelab Backups is a personal tool used by its owner, not a service offered to other users.

Google data used

The tool uses the drive.file permission to create, list, read, update, and delete only the Google Drive files it uses for backups. It does not request access to unrelated Drive files. Backup data is encrypted with restic before it reaches Google Drive.

Storage and sharing

Encrypted backup files stay in the owner's Google Drive. OAuth credentials and tokens are kept in private secret storage and are not sent to this website. The tool does not sell Google user data or share it for advertising.

Retention and control

The owner controls backup retention and can delete the backup files from Drive or revoke this app's access in their Google Account settings. Revoking access stops future offsite backups until authorization is restored.

This website

These static pages have no account, form, analytics script, or first-party tracking cookie. Cloudflare hosts the pages and may process ordinary web requests under its own policies.
